Team Evolution Boats bagged second in round one for Ben Scullin and Daniel Brady.

VIC BREAM CLASSICS FISHING TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Proving why it’s one of the toughest series on the Australian tournament circuit, the Vic Bream Classics have turned up six different podium finishers in two events held so far.

Round one at Docklands – the Atomic BIA Bream Classic – saw Team Evolution edged out by fast-finishing Team Berkley, who landed first place by just 90gm, weighing in five fish on each day, for a total weight of 6.83kg across the tournament.

Third place went to Minn Kota’s team of Cam Whittam and Warren Carter, who were less than 1kg behind the leaders, also weighing in ten fish.

Mallacoota’s March event saw three new teams take glory in the Engel East Gippsland Bream Classic, where fish were significantly bigger than the first event.

First place went to You Never Know (Dale Pattinson and Dwayne Neilsen), who caught ten fish across the weekend for a total weight of 8.73kg, just ahead of Bream By Stealth (8.47kg) and Team Daiwa (8.37kg).

Round three heads to Mettung on May 4 and 5 for the Club Marine East Gippsland Bream Classic and with the competition so tightly placed, it will be interesting to see who masters the conditions (and the fish) to step up next time.
