From the helm: running competitions

If people could say only one thing about TrailerBoat magazine and www.trailerboat.com.au, it would have to be that we run excellent competitions with some amazing prizes.

As an example, during the last six months we’ve had a fantastic Webster Twinfisher 4.9 Runabout, powered by a Yamaha F80BETX four-stroke outboard, up for grabs — the lucky winner will be announced in the next edition of Trailerboat, on sale October 14.

But if you think that was a great prize, our next “Give-Away” boat will blow you away. It’s a new Coastryder 6m Hardtop Fisherman valued at more than $59,000 – and what a great fishing platform and cruising boat it is.

The new 6000 Hard Top Fisherman has an LOA of 6.2m, a beam of 2.49m and is rated to a maximum of 200hp. Fitted with a great outboard like the 150hp Evinrude E-TEC, the “Give-Away” prize boat will have more than enough power.

Details of how to enter the competition will be published in early December and the boat will be given away after the Sydney International Boat Show, so watch this space.

The Coastryder brand, which includes fibreglass boats from 5m to 8.2m (with larger models in production), RIBs and PWCs, are built with technical input from High Modulus to ensure their quality and strength. They’re new to Australia and will officially launch at the Mandurah Boat Show with 23 models on display in October.

The range was designed by world-renowned Kiwi yacht and powerboat designer, Brett Bakewell-White. These boats were specifically designed with deep-vee hulls and aggressive chines to suit Australia’s rugged conditions.

Bakewell-White employed a holistic approach to the powerboat’s design and came up with a range of craft that offer a pleasing blend of aesthetics, comfort, strength, quality, speed and performance, all at the right price.

Coastryder Boats are Australian-owned, Kiwi-designed vessels that are built in China under strict quality control. All components, such as hatches, deck hardware, bilgepumps, fuel tanks and the likes, are exported from New Zealand.

Best of all, Coastryder boats deliver outstanding performance and ride characteristics even in the toughest conditions, making them ideal boats for the Aussie market.
