Try a Mercury Outboard at 2016 Gold Coast Expo

• 2016 Gold Coast Marine Expo said to cover a 3km display circuit.
• Marine Expo visitors can trial a range of Mercury outboards on the water at no charge.

“We are very proud to be a part of the 2016 Expo,” said Mercury Marine Qld & NT regional manager Mike Wilesmith. “It’s a great initiative and we are looking forward to showcasing our world-class products in such a unique marine environment.”

As part of the Mercury Edge initiative, 2016 Gold Coast Expo visitors can sea-trial Mercury outboard engines across a range of boats, with no charge and with no obligation.

“It doesn’t matter if your family is looking for your next Mercury outboard or if you are completely new to boating, we’d love to show you just what our engines can do on the water,” he said.

Expo event and marketing manager Emma Brown said: “We are very excited that Mercury Marine will be at Expo in 2016 for the first time. [It] will be taking a 50-metre frontage at the Gold Coast City Marina site for sea trials each day of the Expo from 9am-4pm.”

Outboard motor sea trials will use brands including Quintrex, Extreme, Bluefin, Streaker, Evolution, Revival and also Nifty Harbour Pontoon Boats.

The 2016 Marine Expo will showcase marine products from luxury motor and sailing yachts to lightweight tenders and boats for sports fishing and family fun. The 2016 Expo will also have displays for marine engines, accessories and equipment, jet skis and kayaks. The display circuit is aid to cover 3km.
