Event | 2015 Yamaha Variety Jet Trek
Event
More than 60 PWC (ok, jetski) riders have signed up for the 2015 Yamaha Variety Jet Trek, but spots are still available for adventurous fundraisers to join the party.
The Yamaha Variety Jet Trek sees jetski riders travel 600km south from Yeppoon, over six days, visiting towns and communities along the way to the finale in Sanctuary Cove on May 9.
Each PWC rider is followed by a road crew tracing the coastline, making for a great chance to get a group of mates or the family together to share time on the water and in the car.
Now in its 17th year, the Yamaha Variety Jet Trek aims to raise thousands of dollars for Variety – the Children’s Charity of Queensland – and its mission to empower kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
Riders will visit Yeppoon, Agnes Water, Bargara, Rainbow Beach, Caloundra and Sanctuary Cove, visiting children and schools along the way and granting equipment, services and experiences to those who need them most.
Every Trekker must raise a minimum tax-deductible donation of $2500 to participate in the event, as well as a $55 application fee and a provisions levy.
