Sea Jay 520 Velocity Sports

Sea Jay Boats has announced the release of its innovative Samurai Hull boat design, aimed at improving both economy and ride.

The Bundaberg-based aluminium fishing boat specialist has developed the Samurai Hull using 3D performance-modelling software and it will feature on a number of new Sea Jay models such as the Vision centre console and Velocity sportsboat range.

The Samurai Hull hinges upon an increased variable deadrise that forms a sharper entry, which in turn improves the ride and cuts through unruly chop.

Waterline width has also been increased, creating a larger surface area for lift onto the plane and higher top end speeds.

This new hull is further said to deliver more economical performance, while new-look reverse chines create a dry boating experience by turning down spray.

The New boats: Sea Jay 520 Velocity Sports shown above is one of the first models to boast this Samurai Hull,  with a sleek raised sheerline disguising higher (and safer) topsides, above those wide reverse chines.

There are three models in the Sea Jay Velocity range; the New boats: Sea Jay 520 Velocity Sports, plus a 4.2m model and a 5.5m model, each with 3mm plate sides and 4mm hulls, plus a capped keel and welded strakes.

The Sea Jay 520 Velocity Sports features a high forward casting deck with storage below, including ice boxes and tackle lockers.

There are also a raft of inclusions as standard: plumbed bait tank, boarding ladder, dive door, trolling motor plate and underfloor flotation.

This model can be fitted with a side console or centre console positioned towards the rear, and all Velocity boats by Sea Jay include the Ultimate Edge Transom (storage space, large boarding platform and rails).
