72FT TRI-DECK WAVE PIERCER FOR SALE

2005 72FT TRI-DECK Wave Piercer For Sale

Never has there been a more aptly-named vessel than Ultimate One, an acme of speed, performance, economy and appearance – turning heads wherever she goes.

Custom designed by award-winning Craig Looms and built by Q-West in New Zealand for $6.6million, this wave-piercing catamaran is fully equipped for comfortable, long-range, fast and economical cruising. Being in current survey for E and C and with extended offshore capabilities, this vessel is ideal for all charter work such as diving, fishing, whale watching or luxury charters.

The transfer from NZ to Australia of this magnificent Tri-Deck vessel was under her own steam. She has the ability to hold 9000lt of fuel, which gives a cruise range of more than 2000nm.

Currently moored at Mariner’s Cove Marina on the Gold Coast, she has spent the last seven months exploring the northern parts of the East Coast.

TRI-DECK CATAMARAN

Don’t be fooled by her piercing good looks and fine furnishings, with so many living spaces it’s not surprising if you don’t see another person onboard for days!

The spacious saloon boasts a curved L-shape, cream leather lounge, six-seater dining table and wall-mounted flatscreen 3D TV with Fusion DVD player and Majestic surround-sound system for movies.

Adjacent to the elegantly decorated lounge/dining room is the gourmet galley, equipped with Fisher & Paykel appliances including a full-sized, side-by-side fridge and freezer, dual-drawer dishwasher, sink disposal, convection microwave and ice machine. Sure to impress the culinary conjurer, this kitchen is not shy in hosting 18 for State of Origin night!

There is also a sizeable entertaining area on the second level with a 10-seater lounge, bar and LCD TV in the cinema room that opens up to an aft sundeck equipped with a reverse steering station. Taking entertaining to another level, the top deck has dual, raised sunbeds and strips of LED lights with a selection of 36 colours along the back rail. This space is ideal for drinks at sunset, twilight cruising or 360° viewing while cruising the reefs.

The four cabins are located on the main level and all have en suites featuring full-size shower and toilet. Cabins, lounges and wheelhouse are fitted with split air-conditioning systems and $8000 worth of Luxaflex blinds.

The full-width stateroom reveals a huge walk-in wardrobe, plenty of hatches, under-bed storage and a separate toilet and shower. There are two queen-berth guestrooms and a cabin with two single beds for visitors or crew. Sleeping eight to 10 people, each bed is fitted with thick and comfortable mattresses.

LAYOUT AND POWER

Alongside the hidden fishing-rod storage in the roof, the main deck is fitted with an extendable duckboard that houses livebait tanks and serves multiple purposes you have to see to believe.

The hydraulic swimplatform has the capacity to lift 1½ tonnes and makes for effortless launching of the 3.8m Aquapro tender with Honda outboard, jetski or kayaks. When reef fishing, the swimplatform can be lowered to water level creating a spacious area to drop a line and put into use the livebait and kill tanks. It’s also a fantastic area for launching the divers, snorkelers or swimmers into the water with ease.

When the swimplatform is raised to the same level as the massive rear cockpit, modular handrails are added around the perimeter, extending the entertainment area. There is also a stainless steel barbecue, fridge/freezer and outside toilet.

A custom canopy covers the cockpit and for those that want to create the illusion of not being onboard, there is a privacy screen that hides this area.

No expense was spared on fitout and state-of-the-art technology. She is equipped with a 3D GPS chartplotter, 72nm radar, colour sounder, autopilot, fuel scans, four steering stations, four screens, CCTV and the latest MaxSea Pro navigation software and Raymarine satellite dome. A high-set, three-seat, cream leather lounge and dual helm chairs make this wheelhouse the ultimate in comfort.

Power is from dual 800hp Caterpillars that reside in a full-headheight engineroom. The motors were recently serviced and have just 1000 hours on the clock. Ultimate One has an economical cruise speed of 20kts and 28kts at full revs. The desalinator produces 160lt/h of water with storage in 2000lt water tanks. There are two generators – 9kVa and 23kVa – as well as two 3000W inverters.

Ultimate One is the ultimate boat and an ultimate opportunity not to be missed.
