Mercury Diesel TDi Roadshow
“Reading about an engine is good, but feeling its power under your feet is much, much better,” says Mercury Marine in announcing a roadshow for its new Mercury Diesel TDi engine range.
Featuring the new 3lt V6 TDi DTS engine in a brand-new Rayglass Legend 2350 (pictured), the four-month tour is covering some 30 locations across three states.
“We’ve got a library of case studies from happy customers who just rave about their TDi engines,” said Mercury Diesel’s David Meehan.
“But nothing beats first-hand experience of feeling the power and hearing how quiet these engines are. If anyone was thinking about repowering a boat or building a boat with diesel engines, this is a great opportunity to experience the product.”
The boat and engine package was displayed at the Sydney International Boat Show, hitting the water soon after for a grand tour which started along the NSW coast and then up into Queensland before taking in key sites across Victoria.
Producing 260hp, we’re told the V6 TDi gets the 2000kg Rayglass onto the plane in 6.5 seconds, with comfortable cruising at 21.5kts and a top speed of 37.8kts at 4000rpm.
