Maritimo Celebrates 10 Years
Maritimo — self-described as “Australia’s youngest luxury boatbuilding company” — formally celebrated 10 years since its launch at a recent function hosted by industry icon Bill Barry-Cotter.
According to Maritimo, many of the staffers present at the event (held at the prestigious Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Resort) had been with Bill since the start of Maritimo. However, for others the association goes back even further, with some having previously worked for him at Riviera.
Bill had special praise for all those in attendance and highlighted the dedication and loyalty of three long terms associates in particular.
Phil Frazer was awarded the Employee Of The Decade gong and both Peter McGrath and Ross Willaton were presented with Significant Achievement Awards for their World Championship win at Key West in November last year. All three have been associated with Bill since before he founded Maritimo.
Sales and marketing manager, Greg Haines said: “The team at Maritimo is one of the best and most skilled in the marine industry and Bill has engendered a sense of loyalty and friendship with long term associates that is rare in any industry, particularly ours where staff turnover is often fairly high.”
Founded in 2003, the Maritimo range includes 17 separate models across five different lines – Cruising Motor Yachts, Sedan Cruisers, Offshore Convertibles, Sports Cabriolets and Mustang Sport Yachts. Visit www.maritimo.com.au for more information.
