CARIBBEAN CAVALIER MKII PREVIEW

Caribbean Cavalier MKII Preview

Caribbean Boats introduced its new hardtop model at this year’s Melbourne Boat Show in June.

The 19ft (5.8m) Cavalier MKII came about after Caribbean was deluged with requests for a smaller version of its 21ft (6.4m) Reef Runner, but Caribbean decided to extend the concept with the addition of a fully-lined FRP hardtop with tough, armour-plated glass windscreen. The structure is also fitted with heavy-duty windscreen wipers and an integrated overhead radio console. Generous head room and grabrails for secure passage along the boat’s sidedecks completes the picture.

According to Neill Reid of International Marine (Caribbean’s parent company) the new boat is in a class of its own.

“We are not aware of any other 19ft FRP production boat that features a factory hardtop as standard equipment, making the Cavalier MKII truly unique,” he said.

Reid also said the Cavalier MKII serves as a comfortable day cruiser, while retaining the bluewater handling for which Caribbean’s hulls are renowned.
