New Boats: Robalo R200 Centre Console & R227 Dual Console

While many will say it’s the simplicity of fishing that makes it so appealing, you’d be hard-pressed to meet a serious angler who doesn’t like a few extra gadgets on their boat. This fact is certainly not lost on Robalo, whose new R200 is set to “change the way anglers go fishing”.

According to the manufacturer, the R200 is anything but a bare bones fishing machine. Powered by a Yamaha F115 and packaged with an aluminium trailer with brakes as standard, the new boat features extensive rod storage, a multi-purpose interior, powder-coated leaning post, stainless steel hardware, and more. In addition, custom options include a T-top, trim tabs, porta-pottie and Command Link gauges.

Elsewhere in the company’s range, the R227 has been a best seller since it first hit the market. At 6.55m, this versatile machine can have you fishing at dawn, wakeboarding all day, and the cruising under the moonlight.

Described as a fishing machine, the R227 includes secure rod storage, raw-water wash down, self-bailing cockpit and a 91L livewell, while the bow area easily converts from wraparound seating to a casting platform.

An optional transom bench adds to the seating capacity or folds away for full access aft. The boat also includes stainless steel hardware like flush pull latches and electro-plated hull fittings, and options include fish / wakeboard tower, trim tabs, snap-in carpet and a freshwater shower. Full test coming.

Robalo’s latest R200 Centre Console and R227 Dual Console come with everything you need to make wetting that line worth your while.
