PHILLIP ISLAND MARINE TO SELL NEW SIGNATURE BOATS

According to The Haines Group, the company had been looking for some time for the right dealer in regional Victoria, and the 40-year-old family dealership is a perfect fit.

General manager for The Haines Group, Ryan Lloyd, said Phillip Island Marine’s heritage and reputation, as well as its location opposite the Phillip Island boat ramp was the ideal fishing boat sales environment, as it made it very easy for customers to test their boats before purchasing.

“We are very impressed with Phillip Island Marine’s location and one-stop shop that offers bowriders to offshore fishing boats, fuel, tackle and chandlery, and servicing,” said Lloyd.

Phillip Island Marine Owner, Scott Huther, said he was looking for a fibreglass fishing boat that suited the area. “The Signature family fishing boat is just the ticket,” said Huther.

“It is built to handle the worst of the Bass Strait conditions and the best of the Bays and Gippsland Lakes waterways. Plus, being fibreglass it offers a smoother ride,” he said.

Phillip Island Marine’s waterfront location means buyers can test the Signature boats on the water before buying. “It is a very simple process,” added Huther. “It need not take a lot of time — we can do it in 15 minutes. Plus, we are more than happy for customers to bring other boats along to test against the Signature boat of their choosing,” he said.

In addition to stocking boats, Phillip Island Marine also offers its customers a boat storage option.

“For those less experienced, or simply wanting an easier boating experience, we offer a valet-like service, where we will back your boat in the water for you, and collect you when your day’s fishing is done,” said Huther.

Phillip Island Marine currently has three Signature models in stock: the Signature 502RF, Signature 543RF and Signature 602F. The dealer also stocks new boats from Arvor, Bass Strait, Chaparral, Caribbean, Pelagic, Quicksilver Inflatables and Stacer.
