Boab Boat Hire's ownership program
Want to own your own trailerboat but are put off by the cost? Boab Boat Hire has announced that is has just rolled out its new Boab Boat Crew ownership program, which Boab says gives boaties the chance to buy a share in a Honda-powered trailerboat managed by the firm’s national franchise network.
In return for a weekly fee (which Boat claims could be as little as $40 a week), participants get a designated annual amount of boat usage plus a Boab Boat Crew member pack comprising branded merchandise, tackle and other gear, worth more than $1500 according to Boab. Other benefits include Boab Platinum Card membership (which affords discounts off Boab’s hire fleet across Australia), Team Honda Marine membership, and other discounts off a range of products and services available through Boab suppliers.
Boab Boat Crew shares are currently available on two of Boab’s most popular models: a 6m centre cab with a Honda BF150 outboard and a 5.7m Sport Rider with a Honda BF135 outboard. A total of 12 unit-trust shares are available for each, and participants can sign up for one or more units, or even for sole ownership.
According to Boab’s director, Paul Gelfius, the Boab Boat Crew program is very flexible, with packages available to meet the needs of a broad section of boaties.
“Boab’s business model is built around providing our customers with a smarter, more cost-effective and convenient way of boating, and this new program extends that even further,” he said.
“Starting from less than $40 a week, Boab Boat Crew members can own a share in a premium-quality trailerboat with ‘owner usage’ rights and enjoy the many other exclusive benefits offered by program,” he added.
