Summer Boat Show just around the corner
The Melbourne Summer Boat Show (MSBS) is just around the corner and organisers say it’ll be bigger and better this year, with a new look and a new name.
Previously known as the Melbourne International Boat and Lifestyle Festival, the MSBS will again be held on the waterfront at Docklands from February 3-5, 2012.
The show is Melbourne’s only on-water event, and will feature trailerboats, yachts, powerboats, PWCs and more. Organisers say there’ll be loads of family-orientated activities, including demonstrations and “come and try” sessions.
BIAV General Manager, Clyde Batty, reckons the show provides a great day out for the family. “The public can enjoy a wide range of events such as waterskiing and wakeboarding, PWC demonstrations, dragon boat races, the Yamaha Supertank Fishing Show and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard and Westpac Helicopter rescue demos,” Mr Batty said.
The BIAV says that one of the great advantages to the MSBS is that many activities are free to the public, with only a small charge to access the boats on the marina.
