MB set to release crossover boat
MB Boats will unveil several new models to the Australian market in 2012, including the versatile MB Sports 220V, an entry level ski / wake crossover boat.
In the 220V, MB has taken its B52 hull and both lengthened and flattened the stern for skiing, and also reshaped the transom for the increasingly popular pastime of wakesurfing. Wakeboarding is easily accommodated too, says MB, as the 220V comes standard with a state of the art 727lt ballast that fills and dumps in 60 seconds.
The boat is 6.53m long and 2.43m wide, and weighs in at just over 2000kg on the trailer, meaning most vehicles will tow it easily. That said, it will still take up to 12 people along for the party, and MB reckons it’s got enough storage space for heaps of gear too. Other niceties include cruise control and a PCM Excalibur 343hp V8 engine as standard. Keep your eyes peeled for the release of this versatile ski / wake boat early next year.
