Liquid Force Rail Series kicks off again
After a hugely successful season last year, the Liquid Force Rail Series has again kicked off with the first stop at Suncoast Watersports Park at Bli Bli, on the Sunshine Coast.
The LF Rail Series is a travelling, cable wakeboard competition taking place over several weekends at cable parks in Queensland and New South Wales. The event is designed to encourage all levels of riders to come out and have some fun with their friends, and is particularly interested in finding ways to encourage new riders to the sport. The aim is not only to showcase some of the best cable wakeboarding in the country and indeed the world, but to encourage even beginners to “come and have a go”.
Last year’s event lived up to this mantra by incorporating unique and original contest categories to ensure all levels of expertise were facilitated — from under 13s to amateur adults and pros alike. Liquid Force says the event attracted over 400 individual competitors, and was watched by thousands at the event and tens of thousands around the world post-event via online video and photo galleries.
The 2011/2012 season has now kicked off, and will take place over five weekends from October to February. Liquid Force reckons it’ll be even bigger this time around, with new stops, more sponsors, increased promotion and prize money and new categories including kicker and flatwater competitions.
