Don’t Expire This Long Weekend, Says Nsw Maritime

NSW boaters are warned to check the expiry date of all essential boating safety equipment including inflatable life jackets, flares and EPIRB before taking their boat out this October long weekend.

NSW Maritime says its officers will be out in force on the long weekend, and will be conducting random inspections of boating safety equipment. It says the skipper is responsible for ensuring all essential safety gear is serviced and in date.

Boaters can use the NSW Maritime website to set up emails to remind them to service or replace their safety gear.
