It’s Official!

TrailerBoat and its sister mag, Trade-A-Boat, are the top selling boating magazines in Australia, according to the recent audit results from the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC).

The independent ABC results showed that TrailerBoat sells 11,029 issues per month, while Trade-A-Boat sells 14,025 issues. The results also showed that Cruising Helmsman and Australian Sailing sold 7157 and 3924 issues respectively.

These figures were achieved despite some tough market conditions, such as the not-so-distant global economic downturn and disastrous floods in Queensland. Some experts believe the marine market is currently down by as much as 50 per cent.

The ABC is the magazine industry’s recognised independent auditing body. Nonetheless, a number of titles choose not to release audit copy sales figures, despite the fact that it costs a negligible amount to do so.
