Sailfish Catamarans unveils Reef Runner

Sailfish Catamarans says it’s addressing the more affordable end of the aluminium cat market with its latest model, the Sailfish Reef Runner.

The Reef Runner measures 5.6m long and has a beam of 2.45m, with a sizeable cockpit floor space area of 2.05m x 1.75m and a deep freeboard to keep the slop at bay. Sailfish says the cockpit space is the equivalent of that found in a typical 7m monohull, while the cat’s aluminium hull is built to handle all the rigours of offshore fishing.

The new model features a fully-appointed dash with Garmin touchscreen GPS / sounder, twin bolster seats, storage bins, livebait tank, deckwash, folding rocket launcher, baitboard, front and side clears, and more.

The Reef Runner comes standard with twin 60hp Honda four-strokes good for a top speed, says Sailfish, of around 33kts (61kmh), with the option of upgrading to twin 75hp Hondas.

The boat comes with a tow-away, on-water price tag of $80,000, which includes custom aluminium trailer and all registration.
