Stabicraft announces new 2570 Supercab range

New Zealand pontoon-boat manufacturer Stabicraft Marine has announced that its new 2570 Supercab range will be unveiled in time for the boat show season.

Measuring 7.85m long (LOA) and fitted with a standard 360lt fuel tank, the 2570 Supercab has, according to Stabicraft, “genuine bluewater capability – which can be optioned into an overnight cruiser.”

“We’ve put a lot of effort into our hulls in recent years, adding superb handling to their virtually unsinkable buoyancy — now we’ve got that nailed we’ve focused on adding the x-factor,” he said.

The 2570 Supercab will be available in three variations. First, the entry-level 2570 Supercab, with a “sportfisherman-inspired open cabin”. In the middle is the 2570 Supercab plus, which Stabicraft describes as “built for the explorer”. It has a fully-enclosed cabin that is half a metre longer than standard so as to house a portside bench seat, as well as a starboard cupboard with benchtop workspace. It also has twin sliding rear doors that open onto the deck. This boat is said to be aimed at people planning extended trips on the water.

Top of the line is the 2570 Supercab MWS (Matt Watson Signature), a trailerboat gamefisher model to which extreme fisherman Matt Watson contributed during the design phase.

On and off the water, the 2570 Supercab is visually striking. Its large bowrails and bow platform are said to provide more than just a visual point of difference to the boat, as they also play a big part in safety. Launch and retrieval is also said to be safer due to more room, more grabrails and easier access.

As mentioned, a 360lt fuel tank is standard but fuel capacity can be upsized to 500lt.
