Mercury teams win at Wisemans Ferry

Three Mercury-powered skiracing teams have claimed wins at the NSW Ski Racing Titles held at Wisemans Ferry, NSW.

Tuff E Nuff (also known as

Team 50
) took both the Formula II and MOC crowns, powered by a Mercury 300XS that is now several seasons old. Driver Brent Wisemantel and observer Andrew Fyfe combined with Daniel Cotton to win the event in 19 minutes 43 seconds.

They then towed Jack Houston to a win in the MOC class, taking it in 16 minutes and 8 seconds. Pure Velocity came in 40 seconds back in second and 99 Psycho Clowns came in third, just 9 seconds away.


In the SMOC category Mercury Pro XS took the title for the second year in a row.

Mercury Pro XS finished more than a minute clear of the field, with driver Peter Lewis and observer David Males bringing Chris Stout across the line in 18 minutes 49 seconds.
