Brisbane show preview

The Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show hits the RNA Showground in Fortitude Valley from April 8 to 10. Event organiser Mark Peterson said the event is “Queensland’s biggest outdoor lifestyle and adventure show”, run in conjunction with the National 4x4 and Outdoors Show.

“To make this an even more incredible event… extreme fisherman and adrenalin junkie Matt Watson will be making special appearances at the show,” said Petersen.

“Mr Watson has been known to wrestle huge Marlin from the flimsy protection of a jetski, and even a surfboard. Matt pulls off impossible catches — unbelievably big fish from ridiculously small boats.” One day he will be eaten.

Show highlights include The Waeco Outback Stage, where outdoor enthusiasts can pick up 4WD, camping, outdoor and cooking tips. Special guests will be taking to the stage.

This year will also see the return of the popular Sports Fishing Simulator, where visitors can hook themselves a virtual fish, the same as virtual sex only wetter. According to Petersen the show has sold 90 per cent of exhibitor space.
