Boat writers wanted

Because of our expansion, TrailerBoat

is looking for freelance contributors to test fishing and family boats, particularly in New South Wales and Victoria. It goes without saying — but we’ll say it anyway — that the job requires a comprehensive knowledge of boats and boating, as well as a thorough understanding of Australian fish and fishing techniques.

Applicants should possess a current boat licence and be capable of handling a boat expertly and safely in all conditions.

As a contributor, he (or she) will be asked to liaise with boat manufacturers and dealers, assess trailerable, then produce detailed and accurate features of around 1200 words that are both coherent and suitable for publication. Photographic skills would be highly regarded.

Applicants will have to comply with ACP Magazines’ OH&S requirements in relation to boat operation and prove, in the application process, that they have the necessary skills to carry out the task. If you think you can assess boats and write interestingly about them, please send your resume to barry.ashenhurst@traderclassifieds.com.au. If you have examples of your work, we’d like to see those too.
