Mercury's new Verado 250 Pro

The supercharged four-stroke Verado 250 Pro is the newest addition to Mercury Marine’s comprehensive lineup of performance outboards.

According to Mercury the Verado 250 Pro is “amazingly quiet and virtually vibration-free.” Holeshot is said to be exceptional while mid-range acceleration and top speed are described as unequalled.

A Mercury media release said the Verado’s supercharged technology allows for precise, programmable control over not only fuel use but air intake as well. “No competing engine can manage intake with this degree of precision, because no other engine is supercharged with computer-controlled boost,” said the release.
The Verado 250 Pro features Digital Throttle and Shift and electro-hydraulic power steering as standard, both of which are said to provide car-like ease and precision handling.

Mercury said serious anglers can also select the optional DTS Hot Foot, which allows drivers to transfer throttle control between the foot pedal and the DTS panel control with the push of a button.
The Verado 250 Pro is available as a 20in shaft (L version) and a 25in shaft (XL version). Both are backed with a 3+2-year warranty (for recreational non-racing - purposes only).
