Bundy Thunder set to rock Queensland
Over 70 drivers and teams from across the country are so far confirmed to attend the 2010 Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder at Sandy Hook on the Burnett river in Bundaberg, on November 6 and 7.
In a challenging year for the sport, there is plenty that shines for this year’s event.
Newly crowned U.I.M. World Champion, Troy Marland from Haier Madness, will lead a strong class of compulsory cockpit boats in the top class, along with a huge fields competing for the Trojan Cup, the new Sunshine Cup for 5lt displacements, and the Wide Bay Australia King of the River.
Bundy Thunder will host the finale of the Bad Boy Mowers Blown Lites inaugural Australian championship series. This class is said to have been created to produce reliable and close racing, and this has apparently been the case throughout the year at race meets in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
The race day pace will be set with a variety of classes from supercharged blown alcohol displacements; 6, 5 and 4.2lt displacements; SeaMac Insurance hydroplanes; Hotondo Homes 25hp; and juniors. Social functions will include the meet ‘n greet, display of boats, gala pre-race party, and trophy presentations functions.
A limited number of exclusive, fully catered corporate tickets are available from www.bundythunder.com.au.
The 2010 Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder Power Boat Racing Spectacular runs from November 5-7, in Bundaberg, Queensland. Entry on Saturday and Sunday is $20 per day while children under 12 are free. General entry tickets are available at the gate, or online through at www.eventix.com.au.
