Webster's Twinfisher appoints receivers

Aluminium powercat manufacturer Webster’s Twinfisher announced on Monday that SV Partners of Sydney has been appointed as receivers to the business — but it’s “business as usual” according to a company media release.

“The situation at Webster’s Twinfisher remains positive with the company continuing to trade under interim management,” said the release.

“Company founders and previous owners Ron and Heather Webster have been appointed by the receiver, to operate the company while new owners are being sought to purchase the entire company as a going concern,” it said.

An SV Partners spokesperson said the receivers were in the process of preparing Webster’s for sale.

“We are seeking to place the business on the market as soon as possible, and given the strong order book and excellent dealers in the network, we are very positive about the future,” said the spokesperson.

“We are very positive that this will be a smooth, seamless transition. We anticipate there will be minimal inconvenience to Webster’s Twinfisher customers.”

Ron and Heather Webster sold the Websters approximately five years ago.
