TrailerBoat 261 out now!

Last month we brought you some of Australia’s top fibreglass fishing boats — now TrailerBoat

261 continues where we left off, with a 32-page special on some of Australia’s best alloy production fishing boats. Who will be the winner? Find out how five judges came to that conclusion after
testing them to the limit in Sydney’s Pittwater.

We also revisit our favourite alloy production family tinnies, budget boats, and low volume custom-boatbuilders (including the Edencraft 6m Offshore and Bass Strait Ocean Pro 600 from issues past).

Issue 261 is also packed with new boat tests and review. We test the new locally-made Ocean Max Offshore 24 centre-console (complete with 500lt fuel tank) — check out the video for this offshore fishing machine.

We also put two “fun” boats through their paces including a Stacer 549 Sportster and a Runaway Bay 200FB pontoon boat. Then there’s two boats from across the Tasman — the budget-winning Fi-Glass 5.1 Dominator and the rock-solid Surtees 5.5 Workmate (incidentally, Surtees boats are available at dealers around Australia).

This issue we’ve also got some DIY specials, such as how to pimp a small open tinnie for under $500, and tips on not walking away with a lemon from a bent dealer.
