Mandurah Boat Show nearing capacity

The Mandurah Boat Show, the third largest boat show in Australia, is said to be nearing capacity after the organisers confirmed their 200th exhibitor.

The event is predicted to attract around 650 display boats — with even more likely if more exhibition space is sold.

Show manager Peter Woods said he was excited about the size of this year’s Show, adding that the organisers were still receiving calls from interested exhibitors.

“The large number of exhibitors at this year’s event shows that there is optimism in the industry, and the enthusiasm is growing after a couple of low years,” he said.

Woods said that aside from the quantity of exhibitors at this year’s Show, he was also pleased with the quality, particularly in the number of new releases that will be exhibited.

Several news events will be showcased at this year’s event including the Western Angler Super Fishing stage, the Club Marine Discover Boating display, and the Personal Watercraft demonstration area. There will also be free kayak rides, children’s activities, competitions, and “special guests” (though we’re not sure who they might be).

Best of all, a $43,000 Sea Ray runabout package will be given away to one lucky visitor. The Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show runs from October 8-10, 2010. Visit www.mandurahboatshow.com.au for more information.
