Crownline Cracks The Century

US-boatbuilder Crownline recently notched up its 100th sale in the Australian market for 2010, underlining the brand’s buoyancy in a decidedly tough period that has seen several US builders vanish from the Aussie scene.

Crownline’s range of fibreglass boats, spanning bowriders, deckboats, cuddies and cruisers, appears to have struck a chord with Aussie boaters who, according to Crownline, are attracted not just to these boats’ sleek lines, but by Crownline’s lifetime hull and deck warranty.

The Australian distributor for Crownline, David Fraser, said passing the magic milestone of 100 year-to-date boat sales, when only halfway through 2010, was a mark to be proud of. “Despite the tough times and uncertainty of the past two years, we’ve seen the Crownline brand gain great market strength,” he said. “The fact that we have achieved sales of over 100 Crownline boats during the 2010 model year is nothing short of exceptional,” he added.

The achievement hasn’t gone unnoticed at Crownline’s American HQ, either, with Crownline’s CEO, Kevin Riem, recently offering his personal congratulations to Fraser at a Crownline dealer meeting.

To date, some 750 Crownlines have been sold in Australia. Visit www.crownline.com for more information on Crownline and its current range.
