With the 2009 boat show circuit now over, Yamaha Motor Australia said it enjoyed record sales, as confident consumers return to the market for new craft and outboards.

Yamaha said it puts substantial time and resources into producing professional corporate displays, and that this year was no different.

“When people go to a boat show they want to see professional displays and the latest products,” said Brett Hampson, national sales and marketing manager for Yamaha Outboards. “To deliver anything less would not be fair to the people who have taken time out of their busy schedules to visit and support our industry’s showcase events.”

Yamaha said its efforts were rewarded by several industry awards and over $25 million worth of deals signed up at national shows. According to Yamaha, it’s a new record and a great result for Yamaha dealers whose contribution was vitally important.

“A pleasing change for this year’s season was the way in which we were able to co-ordinate our Yamaha dealer stands around our own corporate display,” said Hampson. “Our dealers’ contribution and professionalism at the shows was second to none. They really are the best in the industry, we could not have achieved this fantastic result without them.”

Yamaha outboards are available through an Australia-wide network of authorised Yamaha outboard dealers. All Yamaha four-stroke outboards are supported with a full four-year manufacturer’s warranty and all two-stroke outboards are backed by a three-year warranty (conditions apply).

All Yamaha outboards come with a unique “Protection Plus” package that allows customers to access extended service protection, Yamaha Marine Insurance, and DatadotDNA theft protection.
