Melbourne National 4X4, Off Road, Fishing & Outdoors Expo opens today

For this year’s event the organisers have promised more action than ever for fishos, with additional exhibition space aimed squarely at fishermen and boating enthusiasts, as well as an enhanced education program.

More indoor and outdoor exhibition space has been allocated for tinnies, cartoppers, inflatables, runabouts and cabin boats, following the event’s relocation to the Melbourne Showgrounds, and a number of exhibitors will be offering exclusive show specials.

Several notable fishos will attend the show including TrailerBoat columnist Charlie Micaleff – whose Ferrari-red Haines Hunter 600R will be on display – as well as anglers Paul Worsteling from iFish and Dave Hosting from River to Reef. A Haines Hunter 575 ProFish will also be exhibited.

Well known boat brands and dealers include Melbourne dealer JV Marine World, with boats from Signature, Seafarer, Whittley, Quintrex and Kawasaki jetskis; Regal Marine Centre, with models from the TABS Boats range; and Bass Boat Imports, exhibiting imported Sketter ZX195 competition boats.

Other fishing and boating attractions include the Fishing Stage hosted by iFish a fishing pavillion with a full sized tank, and the Boating & Powersports pavillion with an area dedicated to fly and lure casting, with thousands of dollars worth of prizes up for grabs. Fisheries Minister, Joe Helper MP, will also be present on opening day to promote the www.vrfish.com.au website.
