Bar Crusher’s 560XS Reef Sport was recently named “Boat of the Year, Aluminium Under 8m” at the 2009 West Australian Marine Awards.

Bar Crusher said that there is vigorous competition in the aluminium trailerboat segment in WA, and that the award is a big honour for the Bar Crusher team.

Designed as a “crossover” boat to perform in all scenarios from the river to the reef, the 560XS is constructed from heavy-duty, pre-stressed marine grade plate aluminium, measures 6.10m LOA, beam 2.25m, and is rated to carry up to a 150hp outboard.

The low-profile centre-console is positioned further aft and several seat spigots are located in the deck, allowing for the seats to be moved around the boat or taken out altogether for maximum fishing space.

The boat comes with an impressive list of features that includes: rodholders, a forward casting platform, livebait-tank, in-floor fish storage tank, berley bucket, large-volume storage pockets, an easy to clean treadplate deck, and more.

Bar Crusher said the 560XS, as well as the larger 620XS and 640XS models, delivers the smoothest ride of any aluminium boat on the market.

The boatbuilder said that the boat’s smooth ride is the result of Bar Crusher’s high-tech Waveslicer™ non-pounding, deep-V hull, while its Rigideck™ sub-floor system ensures maximum hull strength.
