Isn't it Grand?

Great Barrier Reef Boat Sales was recently appointed a distributor for the Grand range of inflatable boats and tenders, with over 40 different Grand models and model versions available from Laguna Quays to Townsville at five Qld coast locations.

“After exhaustive research of both manufacturers and end users, we chose Grand because of their outstanding durability, sun and abrasion resistance which are important in the harsh Queensland climate,” said Rachael Hohnke, director of sales for Great Barrier Reef Boat Sales.

“It’s not widely known that each Grand is made in Europe by hand, one at a time, and while the tenders are well known for comfort and performance, safety and reliability is the driving force behind all Grand inflatable boats,” she said.

“We also liked the range which includes light tenders like the Elf and Corvette range for small yachts and power boats through to larger centre console models such as the Golden Line and Silver Line ranges up to 6.5m in length,” added Hohnke.

“Even though they are popular with luxury boats, the military and commercial operators, they are well priced for the average recreational purchaser.”

The range is in response to the growing popularity of recreational RIBs as an affordable alternative to aluminum and fiberglass. Each tender has a six year warranty on PVC and a 10 warranty on Hypalon materials, with most models available in either material.

Sea trials can be arranged from their offices at Hawkes Boatyard, Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach.
