REGAL 2100 BOWRIDER

Regal 2100 Bowrider Review | Australia's Greatest Boats

After our judges had taken the Regal 2100 Bowrider for a spin, we approached them for comment. Only one problem, nothing they uttered could be repeated in this family-friendly website.

REGAL 2100 BOWRIDER REVIEW

It’s not just big horsepower that had our judges talking dirty about the Regal 2100 Bowrider; the rest of the package is pure horn too. The combination of fast-flowing lines accented with sharp mouldings, a sporty sheer line and luxurious upholstery is pure nautical eye candy.

While it’s not new to Regal, the FasTrac hull design provides exhilarating performance and handling with a uniquely capable, confident and playful attitude. Especially when combined with the grunt of the 300hp Volvo Penta V8. You can throw this beast into a full-lock turn at top speed and she just hangs on. The question is, can you?

Inside, the level of upholstery, fittings and finish is world-class and the innovative Power Tower is the icing on the cake.

This may well be the all-round premium watersports machine.

THE JUDGES’ NOTEPAD

Angelo Sangiorgio: “I set out to test the boat, but the boat tested me. The Regal feels like a Bentley and handles like a Ferrari. That big Volvo V8 really thumps — you can feel it and you can hear it. It’s an unnatural emotional experience.”

John Ford: “You were lucky to pry me out of that boat — it’s a lot of fun. The Regal is really cool and it’s got plenty of get-up-and-go — we saw 49kts on the GPS. But you can throw it into a turn at speed and it just goes right where you point it.  We are just so privileged to drive boats like this.”

Kevin Smith: “You need a lot of low-down grunt when it comes to skiing and wakeboarding and these boats have got it. Plus, if you’re going to load it up with a crowd you need the horsepower and that 300hp is as gutsy as hell. It looks really nice with soft colour palates that combine really well. The quality flows from the outside to the inside with subtle features throughout for a real executive feel.”

Matt Jones: “We hit nearly 60mph going down the channel today and it felt great! It didn’t feel like we were going that fast, it just seemed nice and smooth, so if I was any more relaxed after that drive, I’d be horizontal! The appearance is certainly “Regal” — so luxurious and so well finished with great storage too.You couldn’t get any better than this for a party boat.”

John Willis speaks to Cappy from Game And Leisure Boats: “These boats are part high-performance projectile and part luxury suite. They are real eye-catchers on and off the water, have superb finishes throughout, and are ideal as combined sport and social boats. Every Regal is extensively fitted out and the materials used are the best available.”
