ALASKA 46 SEDAN GEN II
The Gold Coast’s Leigh-Smith Cruiser Sales (LSCS) has taken the backache out of tender launch and retrieval with the introduction of the FreedomLift on its newest Alaska 46 Sedan Gen II sedan launched last month.
The 46-footer is the popular dealership’s biggest seller in the Alaska range, and incorporating the latest hydraulic davit system will no doubt add to the boat’s appeal.
“Say goodbye to expensive, poorly designed, unattractive and heavy tender-lift systems. FreedomLift lets you carry your tender or PWC with style and ease,” says LSCS.
We’re told the FreedomLift’s removable lifting arms enable the tender to be lifted high above the water, providing it safety and protection from rough-water conditions.
The system is operated via a waterproof remote control for touch-of-button convenience, has a lifting capacity of 363kg and is custom made to fit virtually any inboard, Zeus or IPS driven boat, with adjustable bunks to accommodate any hull form.
LSCS describes the Alaska 46 Sedan Gen II as a sociable sedan cruiser with all living and entertaining on one level, including an open helm, galley, saloon and cockpit, while the extended full-width hardtop adds to outdoor comfort.
Stainless steel bi-fold saloon doors open flush to starboard and along with dual flip-up rear windows either side bring the outside in — an ideal open-plan design for entertaining and increased livability. Moving forward, dual side doors in conjunction with two sunroofs increase natural ventilation. There’s also a new cockpit control station in the aft portside bulkhead for taking the stress out of docking.
Accommodation now boasts an amidships master stateroom with island queen-size berth and en suite, the position offering less movement and water noise. LSCS added the second cabin forward comprises two large single bunks and “loads of storage” with a guest bathroom to port.
Powering the 46 Gen II are a pair of 480hp Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engines, and the dealership is offering the boat with a price tag of $840,000.
