The RFD 150N manual vest is a comfortable and compact PFD that does not restrict the wearer’s freedom of movement. It easily slips on over your head, and it can be easily adjusted for a comfortable fit thanks to its conveniently positioned buckle at the front. A neoprene collar also adds to the comfort.
The RFD 150N has an inflatable chamber that provides 150 Newtons of buoyancy when inflated. When it does this, the blue valise separates and the yellow inflation chamber fills with compressed air released from the gas cylinder. The unit is fully approved to Australian Standard AS1512 – PFD1.
The RFD 150N is available as both manual and automatic inflation models, but according to RFD, the manual inflation model is more popular among recreational boaties.
