PRODUCTS - New Quicksilver dinghies
Quicksilver says its new range of compact dinghies are suitable for 4x4 and caravan enthusiasts, and are smaller, lighter and easier to prep-and-store than ever before.
The Quicksilver 200 and 240 model dinghies weigh just 19kg and 22kg respectively and roll up into a 1m long bag.
They are constructed with four air chambers — two on the sides, one for the keel, and another for the floor. The 200 model can carry a 255kg load and a 2.5hp outboard, while the 240 model can handle up to 315kg and a 3.5hp engine.
“If you want to go fishing, cross a river, or see the sights from the water, these dinghies are simply ideal to keep in the back of a 4x4 or tucked away in a caravan,” said Ian Stanley, product manager — Quicksilver Inflatables.
“The inflatable floor is comfortable to sit on and it makes the dinghy very easy to get ready,” he said.
These dinghies are made from 0.6mm thick Mehler Haku PVC and have thermowelded seams instead of glue. Both models measure 100cm x 56cm x 26cm when bagged, and can carry a 20kg engine.
Standard features include a storage bag, repair kit and double action hand pump. A range of unique features and accessories including fold-down rowlocks for easy storage of oars, and a durable grab rope, is also available.
RRP is $792 for the 200 model and $858 for the 240 model, with a one year warranty for both.
