Next generation marine entertainment
JENSEN Marine said its 200W MSR2107 waterproof AM/FM and USB equipped stereo is the next generation in black-box technology.
Featuring 1GB of onboard memory with USB capability via a USB interface, the system lets users download MP3 or WMA music files from a flash drive or PC and play them through the stereo.
A separate water resistant black-box amplifier/tuner unit can be mounted up to nine feet away from the commander. It features corrosion resistant conformal-coated circuit boards and a non-absorbing PCB Mylar insulator. The controller itself is designed to resist water, salt air, humidity, moisture, UV rays and heat. It meets IPX6 waterproof standards and is suitable for all exterior applications.
The system also sports an AM/FM stereo and features full iPod control and charging through a JENSEN JIPCBDL12 interface cable. It is SIRIUS satellite radio ready and does not have a CD player so as to minimize warranty exposure. Large user-friendly backlit buttons, a sunlight readable dot matrix LCD display and a rubber keypad makes the unit ideal for sunny days on the water.
Other clever feature include a low voltage warning sound that alerts boaters when their voltage is low and “Zero Memory Current Draw” for boat storage without running down the battery. The MSR2107 also features a non-volatile memory for presets and user setters.
The unit is built with a 1 1/4” slimline profile for easy installation, even in areas with limited space.
