Clipper Explorer 46 Pilothouse

The Clipper Explorer 46 Pilothouse is a luxury cruiser that Clipper Motor Yachts says aimed at mariners seeking true bluewater range and a liveaboard package.

CLIPPER EXPLORER 46 PILOTHOUSE

The Explorer 46 Pilothouse layout is based around a saloon and galley arrangement that incorporates a large U-shaped dinette and twin armchairs on the same level as the galley.

A considerable design effort went into the layout to ensure the Explorer 46 Pilothouse provided a spacious full-width master cabin with island bed, plus oversized, opening portlights for effective cross-flow ventilation.

The Clipper Explorer 46 Pilothouse has a separate guest cabin, available as a queen bed or twin bunk setup, with separate en suite attached. Another layout option provides straight staircase to the pilothouse and down to the cabins. This removes the curved companionway stairs in the accommodation area.

ENGINES

Powering the Clipper Explorer 46 Pilothouse semi-displacement keeled hull is a Cummins 480hp diesel QSB series marine engine. Twin engines are available as an option.

Clipper Motor Yachts estimates a top speed exceeding 20kts is attainable; a large single engine configuration can also be fitted with an optional auxiliary propulsion system (APU) or ‘get-home unit’.

PRICE

The Clipper Explorer 46 Pilothouse is priced at $995,000.
