Outbord motor technology has advanced in leaps and bounds. Evinrude E-TEC and Mercury Marine are presenting firsts for Western Australia.

The 2014 Mandurah Boat Show marks the official Western Australian launch for the Evinrdue E-TEC G2 range.

Mercury Marine will also introduce its new range of FourStroke outboard motors, from 75 to 115hp.

Mercury FourStroke outboard motors

According to Woods, the new line-up of 75-115hp Mercury FourStroke outboard motors will attract plenty of attention.

“Mercury will be introducing their new 75, 80, 90, 100 and 115hp FourStroke outboard motors. These are compact and low weight, yet boast outstanding torque and horsepower,” said Woods.

“Mercury will have a display area set up, demonstrating the new outboards on different Quintrex, Stacer and Atomix boats,” he added.

Official Evinrude E-TEC G2 launch for WA

The 2014 Mandurah Boat Show will host the West Australian launch of the new Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboard motor range.

The new E-TEC G2 outboard motors are said to offer better efficiency. They are said to produce 75 per cent fewer total regulated emissions, while offering 15 per cent better fuel efficiency and 20 per cent more torque compared to leading four-stroke outboard engines. The official reveal take place on Friday.
