Elandra Yachts finally releases Elandra 53
Big Boat sailing Fun on Elandra's new offerings
Luxury boats manufacturer Elandra Yachts last week finally got to launch its newest sport yacht creation: the Elandra Yachts 53 motoryacht.
Originally slated for a Sydney International Boat Show release, the luxury yacht’s original launch date was pushed back prior to the show.
“I understand the frustration this late change will cause but our first priority is to have the boat perfect in every detail before revealing her to you and other interested parties,” said Elandra Yacthts’ managing director, Luke Durman at the time.
Now the wait is over and according to Durman the Elandra 53 is everything he and his team ever imagined in a luxury boat.
Attending the launch was newly-appointed Victorian agent Scott O'Hare, already well known to many Trade-a-Boat regulars as one of the driving forces behind Chaparral Australia.
“Everything about this boat is more than I had expected,” said O'Hare during an inspection as the boat was undergoing final fitout. “I have not seen so much space on a boat this size before. I was pleasantly surprised at how significant so many of the dimensions are. The walkaround decks, head room, cockpit space and forward cabin are all class leading.”
Concept work for the Elandra Yachts 53 began in late 2012 and construction on the first hull commenced in March 2013. A standout feature on the Elandra 53 is the way it presents two lounge areas in the saloon.
The Elandra 53 sports yacht will be on display at the 2014 Gold Coast International Marine Expo in October.
