French multihull builder NEEL Trimarans has launched a brand-new flagship for its two-boat range, the NEEL 65 cruising trimaran that succeeds the NEEL 60.
The yard promotes the new trimaran as having a “revitalised design with a host of upgrades”.
These include direct float access from the saloon, tender garage in the main hull transom, island beds in the main hull and deck suite cabins, one double cabin per float with en suite, increased layout options that accommodate up to eight cabins and improved watertoys storage facilities.
Up top in the 33m2 flybridge and behind the central helm station, 10 guests can be seated at the table that also converts into a broad sunbathing area. The trimaran’s cockpit is geared towards alfresco entertaining with an outdoor kitchen and dining table for 10, plus two large sundecks and a swimplatform.
Local distributor Multihull Solutions said the NEEL 65 has a “sporty chic” contemporary interior design and the living space has been designed to maximise views and the practicality of life onboard.
“The crew area is a completely independent precinct and features its own private bathroom, optimising guest privacy and comfort,” says the agent. “The owner’s suite boasts breathtaking horizon views from the bed through an astonishing 2.5m-wide bay window, filling the cabin with natural light and enhancing the feeling of space.”
The first NEEL 65 hull has been sold to a client who intends to use the boat for private and crewed charter in Europe.
NEEL Trimarans is based in La Rochelle and established by Eric Bruneel, who is said to have 30-years design and construction experience in multihulls. His CV cites 26 builds from 1983 to 2009 for one of the world’s biggest cruising cat yards Fountaine Pajot.
