Taking over from the Hunter 36, the Hunter 37 is said to offer 14 per cent more internal volume.

HUNTER 37

We think the Hunter 37 will be a big seller. The 36 was extremely popular and this is a bigger and even better boat for a similar price,” said Hayes.

Hunter Yachts has replaced its popular Hunter 36 with the new Hunter 37, boasting 14 per cent more internal volume than the superseded model.

The all-new Hunter 37 sailing yacht debuted at the Annapolis Boat Show in the US late last year and according to local agent Matt Hayes from Sydney’s US Yachts, should be a successful model in Australia.

Hayes was in Annapolis to receive sales and customer service awards for his company and said he was impressed with the new addition to the Hunter range.

“We think the Hunter 37 will be a big seller. The 36 was extremely popular and this is a bigger and even better boat for a similar price,” said Hayes.

The 37’s new hull and deck follow the same design lines as the Hunter 40 that was launched at the Annapolis show a year earlier. We’re told the three feet in difference is mainly off the transom, meaning the interior volume is almost the same as the bigger yacht. In fact, by lowering the floor and raising the deck slightly, the 37 has 50cm more headroom than the 40.

US Yachts tells us the Hunter 37 layout includes “a very generous” fore cabin arrangement and a large aft cabin with queen-size berth set athwartships and featuring a walkthrough and en suite access to the head/shower compartment.

The galley is almost identical in size to the Hunter 40 and also of note are a forward-facing nav station and large saloon area. Outside, the cockpit is a similar size to the 36 but according to US Yachts, with an improved layout, dropdown swimplatform and foldout cockpit table.

Hunter Yachts has 10 models in its range from the 4.42m Hunter 15 up to the 15.21m flagships, the 50AC (aft cockpit) and 50CC (centre cockpit) models.
