NEW OCEAN YACHTS INTRODUCES WHITEHAVEN
Keith Hanson, one of the men behind the New Ocean Yachts range of luxury passagemakers, is developing an exclusive new fleet of flybridge, sunbridge and sportsyachts to complement his company’s portfolio.
Australian inspired and designed, the new Whitehaven Motor Yachts marque will be launched at this year’s Sydney boat show with the arrival of the Flybridge 6000.
Very few Australian big-boat sales specialists can boast the navigational experience of Hanson. With more than 40 years racing, cruising and selling boats around the continent he has developed an intimate knowledge and understanding of what’s required to build a blue-water-capable luxury boat.
The new Whitehaven models reflect this passion, experience and knowledge, we’re told, and are being built and designed to deliver the ultimate luxury cruising experience.
The Whitehaven range also includes the Coupe 5700 and 6000, a Sun Bridge 6000 and Bluewater 6600.
Each boat in the marque offers a full-beam master cabin with a selection of two and three stateroom layouts extending the levels of customisation. The fittings and finish
of the Whitehaven fleet are said to reflect that of the latest design houses of Europe’s leading yards.
An appreciation for durability and confidence in the engines when travelling afar is why Hanson offers only shaftdrive engines from 700 to 1200hp across the Whitehaven line-up. All engine options available with joystick control for manoeuvrability.
