Eyachts Introduces New Greenline 48
The Australian importer for the Greenline Hybrid range of “eco” bluewater cruisers, eyachts, has released details of its next generation boat.
According to eyachts, the new Greenline 48 makes extensive use of research and development derived from the successful Greenline Hybrid 33 and 4, and bridges the gap between the Greenline 40 Sea Class and the Greenline 70 Ocean Class.
The Greenline 48 will feature a large owner’s cabin with its own bathroom; two luxury guest cabins; and a separate guest toilet and shower. It will also have an open plan galley with what eyachts says are “all the appliances and seamless indoor to outdoor living”. The saloon will have a panoramic 360° view. A large flybridge is also an option.
eyachts says the 48 keeps with the Greenline philosophy by remaining quiet and fuel efficient due to its hybrid engine and “Superdisplacement hull”. The company says its electric mode means you'll never experience smoke or noise, while allowing those aboard to hear all the natural sounds around you on the water.
The Greenline 48 is built using resin infusion, a process which eyachts says is a superior technique to a traditional build, while its modern diesel engine is said to make the Greenline 48 an incredibly seaworthy yacht. It also makes extensive use of solar roof panels
Peter Hrones, managing director of eyachts, said about the Greenline 48: “This is a luxury motor yacht that drastically reduces the carbon emission footprint of a boating family”.
Hull #1 has been sold and will be shown at the 2014 Dusseldorf Boat Show
