SALTHOUSE BUYS ICON RANGE

Salthouse Buys Icon Range

Salthouse Next Generation Boats has announced it has purchased the Formula Cruisers ICON range of flybridge cruisers. Construction of the acclaimed semi-custom ICON models will continue in New Zealand, with Salthouse stating that it will continue with the same attention to detail and quality of build associated with the ICON range.

“We have been looking for a flybridge range to add to our stable of 44 to 49ft Salthouse Corsair sedan cruisers for some time,” said Next Generation’s Dean Salthouse.

“The ICON’s combination of design, build quality and exceptional seakeeping performance are a great addition to our Salthouse Corsair sedan range,” he said.

The new range will be known as Salthouse ICON and will be expanded to include sedan-style cruisers up to 68ft. According to the new owner, the range will be built “with the same proven methods and quality craftsmanship that has been the hallmark of both brands for many years”.

Formula Cruisers’ Troy Woods said: “We have been looking at restructuring our operation for some time and the opportunity to work closely with Dean to further develop the ICON range makes good sense for both companies,” he said.

“I have known Dean for many years and have every confidence in his abilities to produce and further develop the ICON range,” he added.

The Formula Cruisers agency network in Queensland, NSW and WA will continue to represent the ICON series, in addition to the Salthouse Next Generation Boats sedan range — the Salthouse Corsair.
