FIRST NEW MOODY 54 HULLS ORDERED FOR AUSTRALIA
The exclusive importer for Moody Yachts, Team Windcraft, Sydney-based Team Windcraft, has announced that the first two of its new Moody 54 Deck Saloon models have been ordered for the Australian market.
Windcraft says it has sold over 20 Moody Yachts over the last four years, with 12 being Moody Deck Saloons going to Australian and New Zealand owners. The new luxury bluewater cruisers will arrive in time for the 2014 Sydney International Boat Show.
“We’re very excited to have the first two 54 Deck Saloons here in Australia,” said Windcraft’s managing director, Peter Hrones.
“It’s a great boat for the extremes in our climate. The cockpit area shelters you from the weather and the fantastic awning system gives you much needed UV protection from the intense Australian sun.
“The deck saloon is one of the most comfortable, stress free ways to sail anywhere, hot or cold, in the world.
“The Moody deck saloons are also one of the only true Deck saloons yachts on the market with a true 360 degree view with continuous inside outside flow and a dedicated inside helm and navigation station,” he added.
The two new 54 Deck Saloon models will have different layouts. Hull number one will be a galley-up option, with four cabins, while hull number two will have three cabins and a very large galley down below for additional cooking space, storage and room for lounging. According to Windcraft, hull number two’s owner also intends to compete in the 70th Sydney to Hobart with family and friends aboard.
