NEW YAMAHA F200F OUTBOARD
Yamaha has released a new F200F four-stroke outboard. The new model slots into the brand’s high-horsepower line-up between the F150A and its 4.2lt V6 engines.
Featuring a 2.8lt double overhead camshaft design, the F200F is said to utilise the efficiency and weight advantages of a four-cylinder configuration, while variable camshaft timing delivers powerful acceleration.
Yamaha said the F200F weighs-in at 227kg and claims it as the lightest 200hp four-stroke on the market.
The F200F is due to hit Australian shores in March, a second G variation available mid-2013. The latter contains the same features of the F200F, with the addition of digital electronic controls (drive by wire) and the ability to connect to Yamaha’s High Definition colour display.
Both the F200F and F200G are covered by a four-year factory warranty for recreational use (conditions apply).
