New Boats - Atlantis 34
Italy's Atlantis Yachts, the Azimut Benetti Group’s luxury sportscruiser brand, has completed its five-model line-up with the launch in Europe of the under-10m entry-level Atlantis 34.
Powered by two 220hp Volvo Penta D3 engines with Duoprop sterndrives, the Atlantis 34 is said to have a top speed up to 32kts and a cruise of 29kts. There are four beds with a double cabin amidships and a convertible dinette.
The builder said the Atlantis 34 is a completely new composition from Neo Design and its own in-house design team, incorporating the distinctive style and features of the larger models in the fleet, with engineering by Seaway.
Atlantis Yachts is targeting the medium/small sector of the European market with a hull length of less than 10m in the new 34. We’re told an intensive effort was put into maximising the open spaces of the sportscruiser as well as the interior areas, where an amidships master cabin is separated from the rest of the interior dedicated to a saloon-galley in the bow that is both convertible and well-lit courtesy of large hull windows.
The exterior line echoes that of the larger models, which began with the collaboration between Atlantis and Neo Design, producing a range of five new models, from 34 to 58 feet, during the past two years.
Main deck features include a swimplatform measuring a considerable 2.5m2 that can hold a tender (up to 2.5m), a table for six around an L-shaped chaise lounge that can be transformed into a sunpad, while the sunroof is equipped with a manual soft-top, standard for this series.
The starboard helm station is supported by the latest Raymarine touchscreen instrumentation with the ability to install GPS-radar up to series E125W, with Tridata instruments, Joystick and Fusion Hi-Fi control. The fuel tank capacity is 650lt.
Two symmetrical, 21cm-wide walkways lead to the bow, and a spacious two-person sunbed. The top deck is also well equipped with storage, bottle holders and lockers.
Below, the living area is dominated by a large, vee-shaped sofa/dinette that converts into a double bed, served by a well-equipped galley standing 1.9m high and featuring two-burner stove and 80lt refrigerator.
Opposite the portside galley is a ventilated head ahead of the master cabin, the latter highlighted by maximum headroom of 1.95m and large double bed. The oak wood finishes with lacquered insets are same as those used in the fleet’s larger models.
Lockers, cabinets and wardrobes offer a storage volume of more than 1350lt, distributed between the dinette/galley and the master cabin. “Characteristics such as these make this boat a true cruiser, suiting two couples or a family,” said Atlantis Yachts.
