NEW YACHTS — Hanse 575

Team Windcraft inspects new Hanse 575

Team Windcraft, the Australian agent for Germany keelboat builder Hanse, recently inspected the new 575 in its final stages of construction, the second biggest in the eight-yacht fleet.

The importer’s John Cowpe visited the Hanse factory in Germany a fortnight ago and his first impressions of the 57-footer were of a “mini-superyacht”.

“(An) easy-to-sail, fast and well-built ocean-ready yacht,” commented Cowpe of the sleek Judel/Vrolijk hull that features Hanse’s original self-tacking headsail as integral to the design.

“I am particularly impressed with the high-end finish and the space and volume,” Cowpe continued.
“For example the cockpit is exceptionally large because the beam is carried well aft.

“For me she is a mini-superyacht offering the best price-to-quality ratio in the world right now.

“With her beautifully designed Judel/Vrolijk
hull and optimal rig dimensions I expect her to be a fabulous sailing yacht,” he said.

The Hanse 575 also boasts a large cockpit with twin tables that convert to lounges, a dinghy garage with tender docking system, all lines leading under-deck to winches at the helm stations, and a spacious, versatile interior.

Team Windcraft says the interior has numerous opening hatches with hull windows offering a sea view, while the master suite is a particularly popular feature of the larger Hanse 5 Series yachts, owners appreciating the walk-around bed and separate shower and head. Hanse 575 buyers can choose from three, four, five or six-cabin layouts.

“The interior offers open plan living with smart zoning of the navigation, living and galley areas,” says Cowpe.

“The nav station could also double as an office and has a large bench with leather seat. A huge TV separates the galley from the lounge area very effectively, when it is in the raised position. The long galley has vast amounts of storage and I particularly like the fact that the dishwasher is split into two drawers,” he said.
