NEW YACHTS — Bavaria Cruiser 33

New Yachts - Bavaria Cruiser 33

In the wake of this year’s introduction of the Vision line of luxury keelboats, German builder Bavaria has continued the recent charge of new-model sailboats with a remodelling of its Cruiser range in the new 33.

Bavaria worked with its Vision collaborator, UK design firm Design Unlimited, to create a completely new, modern finish plus a range of new features for the Cruiser 33. The 33-foot sailing yacht will be available this coming spring, and becomes the eighth model in the Cruiser fleet, from 32 to 55 feet.

The Cruiser 33’s most notable exterior features are large hull and cabin-top windows on a new overall design.

Bavaria said the cockpit, with drop-side table, is designed around the helm seat to ensure an optimal overview of the ship and enable sailing with a limited crew or singlehanded. Recesses around the steering wheel provide unobstructed traffic and do away with the need for a folding wheel. The modern rig and optimally configured sail plan make the Cruiser 33 easy to handle, the builder added.

Below deck are two cabins and saloon, the interior design we’re told characterised by fine furnishings and plenty of solid, natural wood. There is a large panorama window both port and starboard for views and plenty of natural light below. An optional roof hatch is available for more light and extra ventilation. The forward cabin with double bed and aft cabin together provide berths for four.
